Creating A Sub Domain!

Creating sub domains are quite easy. Follow these steps carefully & you'll be good to goooo [:

I use cpanel 11. Some use 10. If you use cpanel 10, I recommend you visit lyts.me for this tutorial.
Step One

Log into cpanel & scroll down.
Find where it says "Domains."
Click on the "Sub Domain" icon.

Lost? Click here.
Step Two

A new page should appear.
Under "Create a Sub Domain," enter the wished sub domain.
This can be whatever you want, but it will have your hosts name behind it.
For instance, SUBTUTORIAL.fuelex-lyts.com
Do not eneter anything where it says, "Document root."
It will automatically calculate that.
Select "Create."

Lost? Click here.
Step Three

Now we are going to create an ftp account so your sub domain can be accessed.
Go ahead & go back to your cpanel home.
Now, we're looking for the "Files" section.
Once you have found it, click on "FTP Accounts."

Lost? Click here.
Step Four

A new page should appear again.
Under "Add FTP Account," You will type in the login, password & quota.
Login is yoursitename@fuelex-lyts.com.
Password is whatever you like it to be.
Quota is how much space you are giving to your sub domain. I usually choose anything in b/t 50-100.
It depends on what they're using the site for.

Lost? Click here.
Step Five

You're dunzo! A confirmation page should come up.
Copy & save the information it gives you.
